User Profile for RandomSample
You are now viewing another user's profile page. Below, you can learn basic information about the user, such as their website address or personal biography (if they've chosen to enter either.) You can also see how long the user has been registered with the message boards, the last time they were active, and a log of their most recent posts.

Most importantly, this profile page allows you to interact with the user three different ways. By clicking on the links, you may:

  • Add the user to your ignore list, which makes any post or private message from this user invisible to you.
  • Add the user to your friends list, which, like an e-mail address book, adds the users name to a special list in your profile that makes sending them private messages quick and easy
  • Send the user a private message, much like sending them an e-mail message.

Answers to the most frequently asked questions of me:

    1. Sometimes.

    2. Only with a duck.

    3. When it rains - and if I'm very tired.

    4. I never said that.

    5. English is my second language -- the problem is, I have no first one.

    My ignore policy:

While I don't mind friendly banter, I do value my time. Waste it, and you're on ignore. It's as simple as that. And why shouldn't it be?

I'm not here to take the abuse of people with varying degrees of mental problems. I'm here to discuss issues and topics of mutual interest.

I certainly do not expect all readers of my posts to agree with everything I say all of the time.

    This is a given.

However, if I bash AN IDEA, CONCEPT, INSTITUTION, etc. and if you are irrational enough to take it personally when I criticise something you believe in, then that's your problem, not mine.

Personal attacks are against individuals, not ideas that individuals embrace.

If one doesn't understand the difference, they shouldn't be posting on my threads.

Agree, disagree, not certain ... all who follow these simple rules are welcome to my threads:

    1. Stick to the topic.

    2. Don't expect answers to your questions before you've answered the ones raised by the thread itself.

    3. Deal with one issue at a time, answer my replies and I'll respond to yours -- but keep it on topic.

    4. Try not to hurl insults in place of actual arguments. If I do tolerate it, it won't be for long.

    5. There is no rule number five.

    6. Once on ignore, always on ignore.
