But it doesn't really matter who the mother is. Just because she's the biological mother doesn't mean she's currently with Ted and the kids. For all we know we might find out who the biological mom is at the beginning of the next season and then lead up to ted being in the future and looking for the real mother, which again for all we know could be robin, stella, trudy or even lily for that matter.
