According to the new issue of TV Guide hitting News stands this week, 8/7/2008, Patricia Arquette has directed an episode of "Medium" for season 5. Good for her!
It looks like NBC is certainly getting episodes of the series ready for in case a new series flops (My Own Worst Enemy, hint hint).
Patricia can then submit herself into another category for Emmy consideration next year. =)
I am sure the episode will be creative and fun.
